I will include the OME Harp tailpiece, and, if you don't want the Price SL-5 tailpiece, I will reduce the price of the banjo by $100.Īpart from what is described above, the banjo is what you would expect from an OME Juggernaut. I have considerable high-frequency hearing loss, and I know I am not hearing all that I should, but I am entitled to an opinion. To my ear, the banjo now sounds great, but you should take that with a grain of salt. To get a somewhat "bluegrassier" sound than the original setup, I have replaced the original head with a slightly heavier double-frosted head (obtained from OME) and replaced the original OME Harp tailpiece with a Price SL-5 tailpiece. Accordingly, there is currently an 11/16" Z bridge by Desert Rose on the banjo, but I will include the 3/4" Snuffy as well. The banjo originally came equipped with a 3/4" Snuffy bridge, but I find it works better with an 11/16" bridge. The custom feature is a slightly higher than usual action. Given my goal of reducing the herd, I am not interested in trades. This is hard for me to do, because I love them all-these banjos are so nice that someone who plays as badly as I do should not be allowed in the same room with them. All of that, combined with advancing age, has forced me to admit that the time has come for me to unload some of the banjos I have bought over the years. And, I have finally accepted that the combination of lack of talent, together with old injuries that affect my hands, precludes my ever rising even to the level of mediocre player. I have established beyond question that owning more and better banjos does not make one a better player. For some time, I have been suffering from an uncontrollable case of BAS.
